Can a bad guy become a good guy? That’s the answer Ralph is searching for in this film that was released in November 2012.
Director Rich Moore grabbed up a lot of my favorite childhood video game characters and showed us what happens in the arcades after the lights go out.
A great cast lends their voices to bring the films characters to life. Starting the lineup is John C. Reilly as Wreck-It Ralph, Sarah Silverman as cute little Vanellope. Jack McBrayer as Felix, and Jane Lynch plays a kick butt soldier named Calhoun. King Candy is played by Alan Tudyk and there are a couple of surprise voices like Ed O’Neill as Mr. Litwak and Dennis Haysbert as General Hologram.
Wreck-it Ralph is a great animation/comedy/adventure that has some rude humor/violence but ends up with a
PG rating.
For 108 minutes you will feel like a kid in a candy store. The visuals in the film were amazing and the scenery
was very imaginative. The way they merged the little video game quirks (like movement for some of the older game characters) in to the day to day life of the characters was flawless. The storyline is simple: Can you change who you are? The play through is amazing. After watching a bad guy try so hard to be good I couldn’t help but give this one 5 stars and an extra life (gamers will get that one).
So grab the family, sit down and enjoy a roller coaster of nostalgia and laughter. Hey, when it is over, pull out the old video game system and challenge the kids to some Pac Man.
