Creepshow (1982)

What happens when two horror icons work together? In November 1982, it happened and a cult classic was made named Creepshow.

Directing this 120-minute comedy/horror is George A. Romero.

Scattered throughout these tales are some great names like: Viveca Lindfors as Aunt Bedelia, Ed Harris as Hank Blaine, Jon Lormer as Nathan Grantham, Stephan King as Jordy Verrill, Leslie Nielson as Richard Vickers, Gaylen Ross as Becky Vickers, Ted Danson as Harry Wentworth, Hal Holbrook as Henry Northup, Adrienne Barbeau as Wilma Northup, Fritz Weaver as Dexter Stanley and E. G. Marshall as Upson Pratt.

Father’s Day: Bedelia brings the family together for the annual third Sunday of June, family dinner, so she can tell dear old dad Happy Father’s Day.

The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill: Jordy has an out of this world experience, that just keeps growing on him.

Something to Tide You Over: Becky and Harry have a secret, that is a secret to everyone but to her husband Richard, who knows all about their love affair. The lovers will have to wait and hold their breath for a long time before Richard forgives them.

The Crate: Henry, a college professor finds an old crate, long forgotten, under the stairs at work, that just might hold the answer to a problem he’s having.

They’re Creeping Up On You: Pratt, the building owner likes things very clean, too bad his night just got a little messy.

Creepshow has always been one of my favorite flicks. It’s stories and playthrough were great, with special effects, for the time period still looking great even today. It’s a mix of comedy and horror is just another reason it stands the test of time.

Summary : If you haven't seen Creepshow... you need to!

It's rated R for graphic horror, language, and violence.
