What’s funnier than a clown? In October 2012, I found the answer, a dead clown named Stitches.
Directing thsi 86 minute comedy/horror is Conor McMahon.
The cast in this deadly laughs-filled flick is: Tommy Knight as Tom, Shane Murry Corcoran as Vinny, Gemma-Leah Devereux as Kate, Thomas Kane Byrnes as Bulger, Eoghan McQuinn as Richie, Roisin Barron as Sarah and Ross Noble as Stitches.
Stitches the clown showed up to entertain a bunch of kids at a birthday party. Nobody knew this would be such a killer performance. A small, childish prank took Stitches from the world of entertainment. That bloody
birthday has stained the memory of Tom, the poor birthday boy, ever since. Years later, Tom gets talked into having a house party and Stitches wants to bring the entertainment. So back from the dead he comes, for one more show… of revenge.
This flick was a riot from the start, Ross Noble did a great job. Stitches has become my second favorite killer clown movie. The special effects were cheesy but fit perfectly, which just made it even better. The storyline was different which was cool, not just your usual “you die and come back” film take.
It’s rated R for violence, language, gore and drug use.
4 stars for a clown that won’t leave a show unfinished, even if it did kill him.
