Bad Milo (2013)

Have you ever felt like the stress in your life is ripping you apart, just clawing it’s way from the inside out? In October 2013, Ken has that feeling often enough that he finally had to put a name to it.

Directing this 85 minute horror/comedy is Jacob Vaughan.

Keeping us entertained in this flick is: Ken Marino as Ken, Gillian Jacobs as Sarah, Mary Kay Place as Beatrice, Kumail Nanjiani as Bobbi, Stephen Root as Roger, Peter Stormare as Highsmith and Patrick Warburton as Phil.

Due to the constant stress in his life, Ken has severe stomach issues. The pain gets worse when he tries to hide his condition. Things only get worse as the stress begins to build, soon Ken’s “condition” takes a turn… for the unusual. Now he must figure out how to handle this odd problem, because it’s starting the be a threat to people around him, like his wife.

This has a little bit of raunchy humor, but still a funny movie. I liked the simpleness of the overall film, nothing extremely big budget. Which was cool because it didn’t need it. It has a good script and a nice playthrough. Marino has never been one of my favorite actors, but he’s growing on me, specially after this hit. What you need to keep in mind before watching this is, yes, it has a horror tag to it, but falls more into the comedy side.

Summary : Bad Milo is definitely worth the watch but may not be for everyone due to the humor level.

It's rated R for nudity, language and violence.
