Movie Review: Kick-Ass 2

After you’ve done something extraordinary, how do you go back to… ordinary? In August 2013, Dave was trying to figure that out.
Directing this 103 minute action/comedy/crime is Jeff Wadlow.
Bringing some kickassness to the table is: Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Dave Lizewski/Kickass, Chole Grace Mortez as Mindy Macready/Hit Girl, Morris Chestnut as Det. Marcus Williams, Christopher Minta-Plasse as Chris D’Amico/The Motherf**ker, Donald Faison as Dr. Gravity, Jim Carrey as Col. Stars and Stripes and John Leguizamo as Javier.
Motivated by the death of his father, Chris D’Amico discards his old heroic alter ego The Red Mist. This time donning a name more fitting to his evil ways… The Motherf**ker! Now a villain, he does
what every evildoer does, cause choas and pain to all. First thing on the evil todo list: build an evil gang, then make a lot of villianess plans and lastly, make his nemesis Kickass pay! Out gunned and out numbered, this may be the toughest fight Kickass has had yet.
This was the same movie as the first one, but with the right amount of character growth to make it new. The story of average Joe fighting crime that took on a comic book feel. The playthrough was really good, and fit perfect with the first one. The fight scenes where pretty cool, and the cast did a killer job. The violence was definitely up’d a bit, but again, made for some really cool looking scenes. Sidenote, I got really freaking tired of hear Minta-Plasse calling himself The Motherf**ker. His voice grates my nerves like a finely shredded cheese. Other than that… good flick that you’ll enjoy.
It’s rated R for violence, language and brief nudity.
Here’s a 4 star kickass film.
