Lego Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite (2013)

Have you ever been in need of help, but didn’t want to ask for it? In May 2013, Batman found out that sometimes a little help from your friends isn’t such a bad thing.

Directing this 71 minute animation/action/adventure is Jon Burton.

Some of the voice cast is: Troy Baker as Bruce Wayne/Batman/Two-Face/Brainiac, Travis Willingham as Clark Kent/Superman, Charlie Schlatter as Robin/The Flash, Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor and Christopher Corey Smith as The Joker.

Yet again Gotham is in danger, this time the evil it’s facing is Lex Luthor and the Joker. After Lex breaks the Joker and the rest of the super villains out of prison, Batman and Robin find they have their hands full trying to round them all up again. Luckily, the dynamic duo have some super friends that can show up when they’re needed.

Well, if you’ve ever played Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, then you’ve seen most of this movie. Here you’ll see all the cut scenes from the game with a few add-ins to fill in the holes. A repackaged idea for another dollar… well played guys, well played. If your kids like Legos and super heroes then they will love this flick. Also, if you’re an adult that likes Legos and super heroes (like myself), then you too will enjoy it. Win win, and something the whole family can sit down and watch. On the off chance you’ve not played the game. When you watch the movie you’ll get good a storyline of Batman and Superman taking on the evil-doers Lex and the Joker, with a fun and witty playthrough. The CGI work is amazing and everything moves very smoothly. One of the fun things about this film is the imagination, the idea of the Lego world being real, and watching the way everything interacts is great.

Summary : It's about a Lego word filled with superheros, of course it's worth checking out!

It's rated PG for (Lego) violence.
